"You'll be impressed by the quality of my team. They're dedicated to detail, friendly, compassionate, and outstandingly talented. I feel fortunate to work with such an amazing group of people. I invite you to meet them and experience firsthand their caring professionalism." —Josh McCormick, DDS
Steffenie – Office Manager
After an internship here in 2008, I started out as a dental
assistant, working chairside with Dr. McCormick. In 2011 I was able to
take on the role of Office Manager, and though it took some getting used
to, I feel like this is right where I belong! I absolutely love being
able to get to know our patients from a different perspective than from
the dental chair. In my free time I am still kept very busy by my three
sweet boys: Cameron, Josh, and AJ. They are all active with sports, so
we spend a lot of time watching games and practices! When we aren't
juggling school and sports, our family enjoys movie nights, Taco
Tuesdays, bike rides, and just hanging around the house doing some
much-needed relaxing. If there's any time left over I try to get some
exercising in, but it's usually with a lot of reluctance!
Micaela, RDH
I was
born and raised in the Midwest. In 2000, my husband and I moved to
California. I decided to return to school and pursue a career in
dental hygiene. In 2002 I received my AA degree and was accepted
into the dental hygiene program at Diablo Valley College. In 2004 I
graduated from that program and began working. In 2005 I was lucky
enough to come across this great office and have been working here
ever since! In my free time, I love going to the gym to stay healthy
and in shape. Also on free weekend time, my husband and I like to
catch a dinner and a movie, work on a project, or simply relax at
home.
Stacie, RDH
I have
nearly 18 years experience in the dental field and have been working
in this practice since 2005. Prior to graduating in 2005 from Diablo
Valley College with an Associate of Science Degree in Dental
Hygiene, I worked as a Certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery
Assistant for seven years. I am a member of the American Dental
Hygiene Association and the California Dental Hygiene Association. I
am married to my high school sweetheart and we have two children,
Austin and Paige. When not at work I can be found volunteering at my
kids' school, bookkeeping for my husband's business, and running
kids to and from baseball, basketball, swim team, soccer, and dance.
In my spare time my family and I enjoy camping and boating. I enjoy
getting to know our patients and take pride in helping them improve
their oral health while making them feel welcome and comfortable in
our practice.
Ashley, RDH
I was born in the Bay Area but grew up in Dixon, CA. I attended Carrington College in Sacramento, where I got my associate's degree in dental hygiene in 2012. Shortly after graduating I moved back to the Bay Area, where I met my now-husband, and have been here ever since. Outside of work I enjoy my time being a mom to our toddler daughter. We stay busy with trips to the zoo, gymnastics classes, going on walks, and a lot of time at home watching movies.
Cathy, Dental Assistant
I was born and raised in the Bay Area and have lived here my whole life. I
graduated from Diablo Valley College with an Associate of Science degree in
Dental Assisting. I really enjoy helping people. Smiling exudes confidence
and if people are not happy with their teeth, I love that we can do something
to help. It is a true blessing being a part of this team, and I am very lucky
to have met everyone here. When not at work, I like trying new restaurants and
traveling (especially to Disneyland). But what I enjoy most is staying at home
and binge-watching TV shows and movies. If you enjoy The Walking Dead, you are
definitely in the right office!
Katie, Dental Assistant
I was born and raised in Northern California and attended Carondelet for high school. I then moved on to Arizona, where I attended the University of Arizona (Go Cats!!), graduating with a bachelor's degree in psychology with a family studies and human development minor. After coming home, I attended the DVC RDA program to become a dental assistant and have loved it ever since! Being able to help others to love their teeth and maintain their dental health is very satisfying. I live in Concord with my husband Brad, our young daughter Olivia, and our fluffy Samoyed dog Aspen (aka FLOOF). In my (limited) free time I enjoy going on walks around the neighborhood with Olivia, traveling to Lake Tahoe and relaxing on the beach, wine tasting in Napa, or working out.
